The National Consumer Affairs Center of Japan said it has received multiple reports of explosions that have been linked to insecticide being sprayed near electrical outlets. This is not the first time that a disaster has struck when someone tried to exterminate bugs using non-traditional methods. n December 2017, a woman in Cincinnati, Ohio, burned her house to the ground  after using rubbing alcohol near an open flame to get rid of bedbugs. According to her, a male nurse called Neequaye inserted his hands into her V—g!na at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital Ward M for mental patients. Abena Korkor alleged that the nurse abused her while attending to her medically. She also called out the authorities at Korle for not commencing an investigation into the matter. Even the nurse in question is still tending to patients at the hospital.

  Fire destroys N4.6m goods in Kwara The Kwara State Fire Service said it saved six shops and goods worth N68.5million in the early morning fire which occurred at the Basin Road area, Ilorin, the state capital, on Saturday. The fire, which started around 2.06am at No. 48 Basin Road, opposite CAC Church, in the Ilorin South Local Government Area of the state, engulfed a block of eight shops. The cause of the fire was a power surge, according to a statement by the service’s Head of Media and Publicity, Hassan Adekunle. Adekunle, however, said only two out of the eight shops were destroyed due to the quick intervention of the firemen, adding that property worth N4.6million was lost to the inferno. “The fire crew promptly departed the station and, upon arrival at the scene, encountered a fierce blaze engulfing a block of eight shops, resulting in damage to two of them,” he said. He said the firemen demonstrated remarkable skill and successfully brought the inferno under control by 2:20am.

 MohBad: Naira Marley, Sam Larry Out Of Prison Popular Nigerian singer, Azeez Fashola known as Naira Marley and show promoter, Sam Larry, have been released from detention by the Lagos State Police Command. Their release was confirmed by the spokesman of the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin. On November 6, a Magistrate’s Court sitting in Yaba, Lagos State, granted Naira Marley and Sam Larry bail in the sum of N20 million with three sureties. The duo were arraigned and remanded on October 6 over their alleged involvement in circumstances surrounding the death of a popular singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad. The magistrate, Adeola Olatunbosun, told the defendants to submit their passports and ordered that they are to report weekly to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti. But, confirming their release, Hundeyin said, “Naira Marley and Sammy Larry, having met their bail conditions, have been released.”

 Alleged N390m fraud: CCB arraign Kano anti-graft boss The Chairman of the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Graft Commission, Muhuyi Magaji, faced a 10-count charge of corruption before the Code of Conduct Tribunal in Abuja. The charges, including breach of the code of conduct, conflict of interest, abuse of office, false asset declaration, bribery, and accepting gifts, were brought against Magaji on November 17. The Code of Conduct Bureau revealed that the investigation indicated his failure to declare certain bank accounts with a total of N394 million under his name, raising suspicions of corruption.  Former CBN Governor Emefiele Remanded In Kuje Prison   The High Court in Maitama, Abuja, has directed the confinement of former Central Bank of Nigeria Governor Godwin Emefiele to Kuje Correctional facility until a decision is made on his bail plea. This decision by Justice Hamza Muazu came after Emefiele pleaded not guilty to a six-count charge, including allegations of abuse of office, presented by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
