 Catholic seminarian dies days to his ordination A Catholic seminarian died just days before his diaconate ordination – the last step before becoming a priest. Hillary Tobechukwu Eze, a seminarian of the Nsukka Catholic Diocese, was supposed to be ordained a deacon on 23rd December 2023. Sadly, he died on Friday, Dec. 15, in a motor accident. The deceased was an indigene of Ehalumona town in Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State. He was going with his mates for their retreat in preparation for the ordination when he had an accident and died on the spot.  NDIC pays over N1.7bn to customers of closed banks Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) says it has paid insured sum of over N1.7 billion to customers, following the revocation of licenses of Microfinance Banks (MFBs) and four Primary Mortgage Banks (PMBs). Mr Bello Hassan, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, NDIC, said this at the 2023 NDIC Editors Forum, on Saturday in Lagos.
