 AFIKPO FON CONGRATULATES GOVERNOR FRANCIS NWIFURU ON THE AWARD OF AN HONORARY DOCTORATE DEGREE

The Afikpo LGA, Ebonyi State global family of the Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru Youth Movement, FON heartily congratulate our father, leader, political iroko, the Governor of Ebonyi State of Nigeria, and the most performing Governor in the West African subregion, His Excellency, Rt. Hon Dr Builder Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for the conferment of the Doctor of Philosophy, PhD, (Honorary Causa) by the Coal City University, Enugu, Nigeria on Saturday, December, 2nd, 2023 during the maiden Convocation of the world-class University.


Your Excellency, the award of this doctorate has reaffirmed our earlier position before, during and after the 2023 general election that, only with Chief Francis Nwifuru as the governor, can the future of the state be, not only guaranteed but also her destinies assured of fulfilment. 


We congratulate the visionary leader, who has leveraged God's boundless grace upon him to build men, committed to leaving an unerasable footprint and determined to take a quantum leap in governance of Ebonyi State, His Excellency, Chief Francis Nwifuru on this well-merited and well-deserved doctorate award.

  Tinubu seeks support for varsities. President Bola Tinubu has called on stakeholders to join hands with the government in assisting universities in the country. The President noted that the education sector should not be left in the hands of the government alone, saying all stakeholders must develop the sector. He made the call on Saturday, during his presidential address delivered at the 32nd Convocation of the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Ondo State. Represented by a visiting professor of the National Universities Commission, Prof King-David Yawe, the President said due to the capital-intensive nature of the university education, there was a need for joint efforts by the stakeholders, particularly in the area of research funding.
