BREAKING: Appeal Court Sacks Kano Gov

The Abuja Court of Appeal on Friday removed Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State from office. The panel upheld the State Election Petitions Tribunal's decision, led by Justice Oluyemi Akintan Osadebay, which had earlier ousted Yusuf of the NNPP on September 20, 2023. The tribunal declared Yusuf Gawuna of the APC as the rightful winner, citing the invalidity of 165,663 votes due to lack of INEC signatures or stamps. Governor Yusuf, contesting under NNPP, challenged the tribunal's decision at the appeal court, where Wole Olanipekun, SAN, representing him, sought to set aside the tribunal's judgment.
